The Death of King David

²⁶ And David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel. ²⁷ And the days that he reigned over Israel were forty years. In Hebron he reigned seven years, and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty-three years. ²⁸ And he died in a good old age, full of days, wealth, and honor. And Solomon his son reigned in his place.
